Large 9ct gold St Bridgit’s cross brooch

9ct gold Irish brooch depicting the cross of St Bridgit. An ancient tradition that is as strong in the Ireland of today as in the past. February 1st is St Bridgit’s  feast day and most homes in Ireland collect the rush reads, make crosses the night before and present them to St Bridgit the next day. I’ve included a photograph of a newly woven cross too.
