The Fionnuala Necklace.
She was king Lirs daughter and was turned into a Swan by her stepmother In the Irish ledgend, “The Children Of Lir.” She and her brothers spent the rest of their lives on the lakes of Cavan with only their beautiful singing voices remaining. They lived there as swans until the first christian bell tolled in Ireland.
My own name is Fionnuala too although I spell it differently but I have always loved this story and love the fact that I share her name.
